MANILA --- Angelica Panganiban reveals that when she was younger, her mom told her to be good all the time so good things will happen to her in turn.
Angelica is now reaping the fruits of her labor. She's 18 and yet in all the years that she has been in showbiz, she has never been involved in any scandal.
Angelica admits she grew up without a father. Her dad left them when she was only two years old. Her paternal grandfather, whom she calls "Papa," acts as a surrogate father to her.
"Kung dumating ngayon ang Daddy ko, I would not know how to treat him," said Angelica. "Right now, my Mommy and I do not know his whereabouts. He has not bothered to get in touch with us all these years."
For Angelica, stardom has finally beckoned. Unitel Pictures got her to portray the title role in "Santa Santita" opposite her fellow Star Magic talent, Jericho Rosales.
In "Santa-Santita," Angelica plays a modern-day Magdalene, a young and sinful girl who is suddenly confronted by the evil in her life when she receives the stigmata in a dream.
Laurice Guillen, "Santa Santita" director, thinks she has found the perfect actress for the title role for this story, which has been in her possession for years now. Angelica was able to portray the demanding role well, with Guillen's guidance and supervision.
"I gave my full trust to Direk Laurice," stated Angelica. "For the first time, 'di lang ako pumayag na makipaghalikan, may bed scene pa kami ni Jericho. Would you believe that when I finally saw the movie, my portrayal surprised me?" (MNS)

MANILA --- How nice of Kris Aquino to make the first move to reconcile with John Lapus, with whom she recently had a falling out. She announced this in her show, "The Buzz."
According to her, there's no use prolonging their quarrel. She wants John's friendship back and she hopes he will consider her suggestion.
The supposed dispute between the two occurred when John joined what would have been the initial episode of the revived game show on ABS-CBN, "Pilipinas, Game KNB?," which Kris is hosting. John emerged as the winner of P1 million.
Said a kibitzer: "Parang nasaktan yata si John when Kris confronted him, asking him kung bakit alam niyang lahat ang sagot sa mga tanong niya. Obvious na nasaktan si John sa parang pang-mata ni Kris sa kanyang intelligence.
"Pero, ngayong mismong si Kris na ang nagpakumbaba, malamang na maibsan na rin ang hinanakit ni John kay Kris. He also admits that he truly loves Kris as a friend. And he is hoping that in time they will reconcile," the same person told us. (MNS)

MANILA --- Diether Ocampo and Kristine Hermosa admitted that, indeed, marriage is in their minds. But not after two years. "Mag-i-ipon pa kami," said Diether. "We also want to take advantage of everything good that's happening to our respective careers."
Their first movie together, "Bcuz of U," a trilogy co-starring them with the tandems of Heart Evangelista and Geoff Eigenmann and Hero Angeles and Sandara Park, opened Wednesday nationwide. They both keep their fingers crossed that it will do very well at the box-office.
Anytime now, they are due to start work on their first teleserye as a love team. Yes, on ABS-CBN.
"Napansin na rin siguro ng mga kinauukulan na maganda ang chemistry namin ni Diet," stated Kristine. "Na-prove ito sa aming teleseryeng 'Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas.' We got a tremendous following as a team sa nabanggit na teleserye. Kaya nga, siguro, naisip ng Star Cinema na igawa kami ng movie together."
Three young and talented directors are at the helm of "Bcuz of U." The episode starring Diet and Kristine has Direk John D' Lazatin at the helm. Directors Mae Cruz and Cathy Molina directed the episodes of Heart and
Geoff, Hero and Sandara, respectively.
"As a whole, nakakakilig ang movie. It's really a movie for people in love. Just like me and Tintin (pet name of Kristine)," Diet said. (MNS)
