It’s over for Kim, Dino

Kim de los Santos

MANILA --- It’s definitely over between Kim de los Santos and Dino Guevarra. Kim wants to go back to her dad in the US.

“Marami na akong tiniis sa kanya,” she says. “On na kami nang mabuntis niya ang babaeng naanakan niya. Pinatawad ko, pero nabuntis pa niya uli. Minahal ko siya nang sobra since we were paired when I was 15 kasi wala akong family rito, and noong una, he took good care of me. Siguro, in our seven years together, he fell out of love with me but he just didn’t have the guts to say it dahil ngayon, may iba na naman siyang girl.

“Mate-take ko pa ‘yon, but when I heard sinabi niyang siya ang nagpapakain sa buong family ko, I felt so hurt. Kasi my mom, umuwi from the US and lived with us. Pero never humingi ng pera sa kanya ang mommy ko. My dad or brother would send money. When I decided to leave, pinalayas niya ako in front of my friends. Tinadyakan ako sa puson. Naawa ang kapitbahay namin and gave me water.

“‘Yun bagong girl niya, may asawa na rin and two kids. Nakita ko sa cellphone niya ang tawagan nila. Sinumbong ko ang girl sa husband niya. The husband knows and they’re trying to patch things up. He met the girl sa campaign when he ran for councilor sa ParaŇaque. After he lost, he said he’d work in Vigan kasi naubos ang pera niya sa election. ‘Yun pala, nakipag-live in siya roon sa girl sa isang apartelle sa N. Domingo. Ako naman, problema ko ang son niyang itinira niya sa amin, si Ethan.

“Pasukan na, walang pang-tuition, so I called my dad and he sent me money for the boy na hindi ko naman anak.”

Kim said she should have heeded her dad’s advice not to marry at such a young age. But as the Tagalog saying goes: “Laging nasa huli ang pagsisisi.” (MNS)

Lani manages Jolo’s showbiz career

Lani Mercado and Jolo Revilla

MANILA --- Lani Mercado has taken over the show business career of his son Jolo Revilla.

Lani now acts as Jolo’s manager after he was signed up by ABS-CBN and Star Magic for a two-year contract.

“When we signed up with ABS-CBN and Star Magic,” said Lani, “ang alam ko, kaya naging interesado sila kay Jolo dahil sa kanilang na-create na following ni Shaina Magdayao sa pelikulang ‘Ang Alamat, Anting Anting ni Lolo,’ which the Revilla’s film firm, Imus Productions, produced. And I know, too, that ‘Seasons of Love’ was conceptualized and produced with the two of them as its lead stars.

“But I heard that Shaina’s parents did not approve of her having a permanent love team at her age (15). I perfectly understand them,” Lani further stated.

While she’s pretty satisfied with the treatment Jolo is getting from both ABS-CBN and Star Magic, she wishes that Jolo would have another permanent show.

“Iba kasi kapag may inaasahang weekly show,” she said.

It is actually Lani’s career that is flourishing on ABS-CBN. Right now, she is a mainstay of two top-rated ABS-CBN series.

In “It Might Be You,” she plays the long-lost mother of John Lloyd, who plays Lawrence. His dramatic scenes with John Lloyd are not just intense but powerful. Their scenes together are now considered the highlights of the teleserye, which also stars Bea Alonzo, Gardo Versoza, Jean Garcia, Tirso Cruz III and Maritoni Fernandez, among others.

In “SCQ Reload,” meanwhile, Lani plays the mom of “Star Circle Quest” finalist Roxanne Guinoo. (MNS)

Sandara, Hero in fantasy series

Hero Angeles and Sandara Park

MANILA --- Hero Angeles and Sandara Park, who made their successful movie debut via “Bcuz of U,” will become part of the fantaserye, “Krystala,” topbilled by Judy Ann Santos. Both their roles are intriguing, completely different from the roles they have done on TV.

Hero plays a soldier from the future. He is assigned to assassinate a person who will cause Krystala to lose a future battle. But before Hero can accomplish his mission, he loses his memory.

Sandara is assigned the role of Ryan Agoncillo’s half-sister. She is a balikbayan from Korea. She likes her half-brother and hangs out with him all the time. She then meets Hero, who is adopted by Ryan’s employer (played by Spanky Manikan).

Hero now has three regular TV shows, “SCQ Reload,” “ASAP Mania” and “Krystala.” Sandara, meanwhile, has “Sandara’s Romance,” “SCQ Reload” and “ASAP Mania.” (MNS)
