Jersey City, NEW JERSEY --- The Performing Arts Philippines, Inc. (PAPI) held its “Christmas Party and Recognition Night” on Dec. 11, at the St. Aedan’s Auditorium.

The event was carried out with cheerful participation of guests. There was a carol-singing led by Lani Alison and Nardz Santos. Others involved include Ricky Santos (trumpet), Linda Arellano and sisters, Norma Rabara, Rudy Reyes (guitar), Mars Binaoro and Remy Savellano, who all brought the spirit of Christmas to the occasion as everyone merrily joined in the community singing.

Surprise song numbers from Linda Arellano and her lovely sisters added to the joyous celebration.

Past and present beauty queens of the organization graced the event to present the scholarship awards to junior PAPI members, who have had a hand in generating scholarship revenues with their fund-raising assistance to PAPI for the past 10 years. Becky Binaoro (choreographer) awarded trophies to junior dancers, while PAPI advisers, Dr. Cora Mendoza and Baby Manuel gave plaques to outstanding senior members and patrons.

Guest Speaker Mila Mendez (vice president of Philippine Fiesta) delivered an inspiring Christmas message, while Lady Santa Claus Merilyn Narciso distributed stuff toys to children.
