MANILA --- Camille Prats and Bench model Francis Ricafort, a nephew of Alma Moreno, were the picture of a love struck couple during Camille's debut last June. They really looked good together.
As they danced the night away, it really seemed that their love was for keeps. But not all love affairs end happily. Especially when the two people involved are as young as Francis and Camille. They have broken up and there is no hope for a reconciliation.
Neither Francis nor Camille would say who initiated the break up. All they say is it's the best thing for them because they can at least be friends.
Last we heard, Francis is now after somebody new. As for Camille? Well, after the sad news about her lovelife, it seems it's her showbiz career that is in trouble now. We learned from a reliable source that her only TV show, "Home Along Da Airport," will soon be axed.
The reason is not poor ratings or poor revenues, mind you. It is said that the show's top star, comedy king Dolphy himself, who felt that the sitcom has reached its saturation point.
"May nakatakda nang gagawin show si Mang Dolphy actually," said our source, "pero gusto niya mamahinga muna ng at least two weeks bago siya magsimulang mag-taping for his new sitcom."
The title and Dolphy's co-stars remain under wraps. Well, we suggest that Camille keeps her fingers crossed that she will be in the new sitcom. After all, her stint as Long Mejia's daughter in "Home Along da Airport" has sharpened her comedic skills. (MNS)

Is there a possibility for a reconciliation? Hearing Jomari’s response to this in a talk show, it seems he has already put a period to his relationship with Ara.
He is currently busy promoting his movie for the 2004 Metro Manila Film Festival, “Sigaw,” which also features Richard Gutierrez, Angel Locsin and Iza Calzado. (MNS)

MANILA --- Because of thetop-rat-ing fantaserye, the love team of Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin was born and has flourished. And this Christmas season, during the annual Metro Manila Film Festival, their love team is something to scream for!
This is so because the young "lovers" are the lead stars of the ghost movie and supernatural suspense thriller "Sigaw!"
"Sigaw!" was line-produced by Regal Entertainment for Megavision Films.
In the ghost movie, the matinee idol-on-the-rise and his love team-mate play young sweethearts menaced by malevolent spirits in a crumbling old building. Also tenants in the building are Jomari Yllana, Iza Calzado, James Blanco, Ronnie Lacazo and debutting child star Ella Guevara.
In his role as Marvin, we found Richard to be very good, especially with the way he used his eyes. He proved to be a very promising actor indeed.
Richard said he was grateful that "Sigaw" allowed him to go back to his favorite movie genre. "Masasabi kong may utang na loob ako sa horror genre. When I returned to showbiz as a teenager, isa sa first regular acting jobs ko yung ‘Kakabakaba,’ also at GMA. Doon ako nahasa sa acting at nakilala ng mga manonood," he explained.
For Angel, horror movies like "Sigaw!" gave her a different type of challenge. "Ibang approach sa acting ang kinailangan ng ‘Sigaw’ sa akin, dahil hindi talky yung script. Very physical ang demand ng role, sa facial expressions at body language ako piniga ni Direk Yam Laranas. Siyempre, may mga scenes din na napaos ako sa kasisigaw."
Angel’s ear-splitting screams were mastered using the world-class Dolby Digital 5.1 sound system used and preferred by Hollywood blockbusters like "The Grudge" and "The Ring." Producer Roselle Monteverde-Teo said, "Sound plays a very crucial role in a horrow film like ‘Sigaw,’ where everything from a whisper to a scream can add tension and dread. The sound effects are actually additional characters in the film which interact with the audience from different points inside the theater."
"Sigaw!" is based on a script by Roy Iglesias. (INS)
