Bea, Piolo romance on silver screen

MANILA --- Bea Alonzo hopes that Star Cinema would assign her to do personal appearances in key cities abroad where her movie with Piolo Pascual, "Dreamboy," is scheduled to be shown.

"I heard it's going to be shown in Guam (specifically at the Micronesia Mall Cinema) on Feb. 18. I haven't been to Guam. Actually, I've never traveled in any foreign country. Maganda sanang simula ito," she remarked.

Aside from Guam, "Dreamboy" will also be in Saipan (Saipan Hollywood Theater); Maui, Hawaii (Maui Mall Theater); Honolulu, Hawaii (Restaurant Row Theater) and Hilo, Hawaii (Hilo Megaplex Theater).

Bea's fondest wish is to travel to another country. In her 18th birthday on October, Bea prefers to have a tour of Europe with her family over a big party.

"Marami pa akong matutuhan during the travel," Bea said.

Direk Gilbert Perez just finished filming the kissing scene of Bea and Piolo Pascual in "Dreamboy."

"Kinilig ako," direk Gilbert confessed. "Bagay sila. At di mo sasabihing 10 years older si Piolo kay Bea."

Direk Gilbert described "Dreamboy" as a dream of a movie for Bea and Piolo. It's a heartwarming love story with a different twist. The film centers on a hopelessly romantic middle-class working girl (Alonzo) who accidentally meets the boy of her fantasy (Pascual).

The two have different backgrounds, but they defy all odds and emerge triumphant.

Charlene praises Aga on parenting skill

MANILA --- “He’s a great dad,” Charlene Gonzales says of husband Aga Muhlach. “Yes, especially now that the twins (Atasha and Andres) are older. My fear that he might spoil them has not come true - thank God! He knows how to handle them. Lahat ng hiling nila, pinagbibigyan niya - but only up to a certain extent.

“At home, he loves to watch TV with them. But we chose kung anong show ang panoorin nila. Natural na pambata ang pini-prefer naming panoorin nila. And Aga patiently watches the show himself with them.”

Do they watch Aga’s show and hers?

“Gabing-gabi na kasi kapag ipinalalabas ang ‘OK Fine Whatever,’ show ni Aga with Edu (Manzano) and Bayani (Agbayani). ‘Yung aking ‘Feel at Home Ka Dito,’ ‘di pa nila, kahit na si Atasha, feel ang ganoong show.”

Charlene says she tries to keep a balance when she deals with the three-year-old twins. When they do something wrong, she tell them so and makes them understand the importance of saying “Sorry.”

“When they do good naman, we embrace them and tell them we love them. Kaya, from the way they look, happy children sila,” she says.

Have they done something to earn her ire?

“So far, wala pa naman,” she replied. “Everything they do naman, we appreciate.” (MNS)

Claudine, Gretchen kiss and make up

MANILA --- It's good to hear that sisters Claudine and Gretchen Barretto have kissed and made up.

Claudine has, likewise, reconciled with the family of her late boyfriend Rico Yan.

It will be recalled that Claudine had a falling out with Gretchen when she sided with another sister, Marjorie, and Marjorie's husband, Dennis Padilla.

The Padillas have accused Gretchen of reportedly throwing them out of the house where they used to live and which is owned by Gretchen. The quarrel among the sisters worsened when their mom, Inday Barreto, joined the fray. She sided with Claudine and Marjorie.

As for the Yans, they reportedly resented the report that Claudine had entertained Raymart Santiago's suit even before Rico's death. Yup, without them taking into consideration that Claudine and Rico were already history when Raymart entered the picture.

I wonder if Claudine will invite the Yans to her wedding next year? (MNS)

John Estrada in mauling incident

MANILA --- People who saw John Estrada mauling a man in a Robinsons mall felt he was too high handed in his action.

John was then walking with new partner Vanessa del Bianco, who’s now based in Canada and is here to visit him, when the man saw Vanessa and reportedly remarked: “Ang taba-taba mo ngayon.”

Vanessa felt humiliated and cried, saying to John: “That’s why I hate coming back to this country because people are so mean.”

John got angry and got back at the man. “Sinapak niya sa mukha ‘yung lalaki sabay sabing: Ang bastos mo!” says a kibitzer

Well, as we always say about this kind of situation: talo ang pikon.

John should have let that go because in incidents like this, celebrities like him are always at the losing end when they stoop to the level of hecklers.

And as one writer says: “Mabuti nga at hindi ang sinabi noong lalaki kay Vanessa ay: ‘Di ba homewrecker ka dahil sinira mo ang marriage ni John kay Janice de Belen?’ If that was what the man said, we wouldn’t be surprised kung lalong nagwala si John.” (MNS)
