DTI: PH to benefit from WTO deal… exporters disagree

The government said that the trade agreement hammered out by the 159-member countries of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Bali, Indonesia will benefit the Philippines particularly in the agriculture and customs streamlining procedures, but exporters said the deal struck after over a decade of haggling offers very little help to global trade, which they said will continue to flourish even without the deal that claimed to give $1-trillion jolt to the world economy.
