When Toni Gonzaga said her goodbyes during the last episode of “The Buzz” weeks ago, she didn’t seem too worried about what she would be doing next.

“I believe that goodbyes don’t really mean that it’s the end or tapos na ang lahat. It just means na… I’ll see you again,” she declared.

Apparently, her home network ABS-CBN had been preparing her for not one but three replacement shows.

Apart from returning as host for upcoming seasons of hit reality shows “Pinoy Big Brother” and “The Voice of the Philippines,” Gonzaga is also headlining a new sitcom dubbed “Home Sweetie Home.”

A show she describes as a “riot family comedy,” Toni noted, “Para siyang modern (version) na ‘John and Marsha,’” the hit comedy series top-billed by late great comedians Dolphy and Nida Blanca.

“(It’s about) young lovers na eventually will get married and will have a family. Sa Philippines, usually kapag pinakasalan mo ang isa, pinakasalan mo ang buong pamilya,” she added.

What excites Gonzaga most about the show, however, is the chance to work again with John Lloyd Cruz.

The two were last paired via the hit movie “My Amnesia Girl” in 2010.

“Sabi ko nga, akala ko hindi ko na siya makakatambal ulit. Akala ko first and last na namin yung ‘Amnesia Girl.’ First time naming mag-TV so sana everyone will get to be a part of it,” she said.

Clearly facing a very hectic schedule in the next few months, Gonzaga deems all three projects “welcome blessings.”

She went on to urge fans to watch out for the upcoming seasons of “Pinoy Big Brother” and “The Voice of the Philippines.”

“So far, from what I’ve heard, this is going to be our best ever,” Gonzaga said.

As to her being excluded from the reformatted “Buzz ng Bayan,” Gonzaga said: “Ganun talaga, kailangan ng rotation and kailangan ng improvement ng lahat ng programa. As an employee of ABS-CBN, trabaho lang naman, wala talagang personalan.” Manila Bulletin
