TEANECK, New Jersey -- Holy Name Medical Center's Filipino Medical Program (FMP) will host a free community networking breakfast on Saturday, February 27, at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Name Medical Center, 718 Teaneck Road in Teaneck, New Jersey.

This event will provide members of the Filipino-American community an opportunity to learn about Holy Name programs and services; the Filipino Medical Program's activities and resources, ways to support and collaborate with the FMP to improve community health; and share thoughts about community health issues.

Holy Name launched the U.S.'s first hospital-based Filipino medical program in December, 2015. The program, under the umbrella of Holy Name's Asian Health Services (AHS), is designed to meet the medical needs of this community in a culturally-sensitive environment and provide healthcare amenities to make Filipino-American patients and their families feel welcome and comfortable.

Ranking third among Asian populations in the state, more than 116,341 Filipino-Americans live in New Jersey - the largest groups living in Hudson and Bergen counties respectively. The largest concentrations of Filipinos are in Bergenfield in Bergen County (4,569) and Jersey City (16,213) in Hudson County.

The networking breakfast is free to the public but registration is required.  To learn more about the Filipino Medical Program or to register for the networking breakfast, email This email address is being protected from spambots.
